Air Quality and the Roaster (RP324) | eLearning Class | November 21, 2017

Air quality has become an important issue to coffee roasters around the country. This class will cover the types of air quality equipment that are currently on the market, the way that each piece of equipment works, basic ideas on the set up of that type of equipment, air quality measured from each device, and fuel conservation issues. It will also help point roasters in the direction to find state regulations that may apply to them. Topics include: Financial (Startup, Regulatory, Fines, Energy), Environmental awareness & stewardship and Zoning.

Recommended Prerequisites: RP208, CB205

Instructor:  Mike is the founder of Firedancer Coffee Consultants which he created to help specialty coffee companies achieve success. He has extensive experience in all facets of the specialty coffee supply chain and offers an educational approach and vision to help create the right strategy for long term success. Mike is a past president of the SCA, founding chair of the Roaster’s Guild and current President of Coffee Kids, whose mission is to improve the lives of coffee farming families worldwide.

All classes require a certain number of students in order for the class to be held.
